Bricker-Tunis Furs makes donation to Jackets for Jobs to help people look their best for interviews

DETROIT - Dec. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- The holiday season is always a special one for Bricker-Tunis Furs of West Bloomfield's, and this year looks to be especially exciting as Bricker - Tunis Furs has celebrated 100 years in business. Arthur realizes that trends and styles in the fur industry are constantly changing, and he and his staff work hard to keep up with this constant evolution.

One thing that doesn't change is Arthur's commitment to the community. He has been extremely philanthropic with the Ronald McDonald House first with an event with a Motown Night with special guest Martha Reeves of Martha and the Vandellas. Also a showcase and an auction for a collection of one-of-a-kind furs worn by actresses Linda Evans, Joan Collins and Diahann Carroll on the 1980s hit ABC television show, Dynasty. During the show's run the furs were supplied to ABC by Bricker-Tunis Furs and, until very recently, were in cold storage in Hollywood. A percentage of the auction proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.

This year, Arthur will be donating 30 coats to Jackets for Jobs (http://www.jacketsforjobs.org/) in order for people to be warm and look job ready for interviews. Jackets for Jobs, the brain child of Alison Vaughn and based in Detroit, Michigan, currently provides skills, training, employment etiquette, and professional clothing to job seekers and has helped over 15,000 individuals find a job with their training program.

The organization is a 501© non-profit organization. Since opening our doors in 2000, Jackets for Jobs has helped more than 15,000 clients achieve their job seeking goals with our training program. Jackets for Jobs has expanded their reach and has an office on Botswana, Africa. Nationally, the organization has been supported and applauded by Donald Trump, The cast from The Apprentice, ABC's The View, NBC's Today Show and they have had the distinct honor of ringing the closing bell on NASDAQ in New York City.

Arthur Bricker and his staff pride themselves on offering several unique services aimed to help their customers get the most out of their furs. "Proper care is key to protecting and extending the life of a fur," he says. "Cold storage and professional cleaning during the off-season is an essential service we provide."

Fur restyling and repair are two other important services he offers. "If you have an older fur coat in good condition but no longer fits or is outdated, our experts can turn it into a beautiful new design," Bricker says "What used to be your grandmother's prized fur can be transformed into something new and contemporary."

Each item in the company's pre-owned fur selection is inspected by an experienced team to ensure that customers have access to the best products. Additionally, all garments are professionally cleaned, conditioned and glazed prior to purchase.

Today's fur fashions lean toward shorter coats, jackets, ponchos and capes. Leather and fur combinations are also popular. Fur purses, scarves and accessories add a touch of glamour to a woman's everyday wardrobe, he adds.

The company's stylists and fitters are dedicated to assisting clients in the selection of the right fur for any lifestyle or budget.

Bricker says he has no plans for retirement. "What would I do?" he asks. "My life has revolved around the fur industry. That's what I do. It's what I love."
